Book Covers - Editora Almedina
Edições 70, a part of Editora Almedina, specializes in non-fiction books - history, philosophy, essays, both modern and historic. My challenge is to translate the deep and intellectual content into visually engaging and accessible designs that can create a direct connection between the content and new readers.

Entre Cravos e Cardos / Between Carnations and Thistles
When Thomas Fischer - aka, my dad - visited Portugal for the first time, in the so-called Hot Summer of 1975, after a three-day trip behind the wheel of a green Beetle, he had no idea that this trip would change his life. In this book, 50 years after the Carnation Revolution that restored democracy, he tells what, from his perspective, went well and what went badly. It was an honor for me to design and illustrate the cover of my father’s book.
